About Us
The five members of Age Against the Machine come to the band from different backgrounds, despite that it seems to work and the band are building a reputation as a great live act, bringing fun and excitment to any venue at which they play.
Our singer, Wally has been in the band from the start. With a vocal range that covers six octaves, Wally studied for four years at the Vienna School of the Operatic Voice. OK, no he didn’t, but his talents lie as a frontman and a force of nature. Once seen, never forgotten.
Coming from a highly musical family, Simon’s lack of musicianship is a constant source of sorrow to his relatives! Simon has been in the band from day one. Starting on guitar he quickly moved to bass. He has yet to figure out what the top three strings of his bass are for. However, he plays an A note as well as any bass player out there!
Our international drummer, Kurt has played drums since he was two days old and will happily try and sell you the cds from his previous bands – they are actually very good! Kurt is an AC/DC freak and would quite like to spend his days in velvet shorts like his hero Angus Young!
Chris is our clean cut lead guitar player. Age Against the Machine wanted a guitarist who had seen the world, lived the life of a rock and roll star and has the stories of a guitar slinger god. Instead we got a Maths teacher! Don’t let his youthful good looks fool you, at heart Chris is a face melting guitar hero.
Meet Ben, our new boy. Ben is a bit of a find for us. All round musician, plays multiple instruments and genuine nice bloke. Our mission is to ruin him with our brand of punk!!
